Introduction: Today we celebrate the baptism of our Lord Jesus by John the Baptist in the waters of the Jordan River. As Jesus submits to John's baptism, a baptism of repentance from sin, Jesus identifies Himself with us. The sinless one identifies Himself as a sinner.
